Starcraft!!!!

Starcraft was made by blizzard wich is the makers of WarCraft(World of WarCraft a.k.a. Wow is not).starcraft is like warcraft but the races of your teams are differant.the new races are Terran Potoss and Zerg.(i own V1 and 2(v2=Brood wars))

no it doesn't cost monthly... you don't even have to play it online.
the game is great but it is hard to make custom cheats/mods for it because the programing is in German and it is in a code
